I first the F. Z. family last June for L's 2 year photos (http://www.kaufmanphoto.com/1/post/2011/06/children-and-family-photography-houghtons-pond-milton-ma.html). At that point, Luke was a carefree little boy, who greatly enjoyed the park, but was not so interested in me taking photos of him. At this session, Luke was very much interested in all my photo equipment and even helped me assemble my lighting umbrella. I think the change is because Luke is now not just older, but also an older brother. His baby brother Alex arrived about 1 month ago, and I had the privilege of photographing this adorable newborn.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to Alex's grandmothers, both of whom were visiting at the time of our session. They proved to be fantastic assistants for this session.

(Looks like I got one of the two boys, after all...very pleasant surprise.)
This is the last preview from my Sunday sessions. What a busy day it was--ravel appointments ranging from Hingham to Milton to Canton! The H family was the last of the day! I met them in the scenic grounds of the Mass Audobon Visual Arts Center They were beautifully dressed, and their little ones were not only excited about the shoot, but were so extremely cooperative--probably the best to-date!
However, my biggest worry for this session was the vanishing light. Even though we started at 3:30 pm (an hour before the sunset), the day was very dark and cloudy, making it very dark, very prematurely. I am pleased to say that this issue is not visible in the photos, and cloudy day made for beautiful even lighting for this gorgeous family.
I am excited to share the preview below. I encourage you to share a link to these photos with your friends/family, and do look forward to your comments.
I first met the E. family during my Mother's Day Minis this past Spring. Baby C. was just 6 months at the time. Needless to say, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph this family once more for the Holidays, as well as for baby C's 1st Birthday! Very excited to share photos from this session...
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing the D. family and their 3 M's--4 Month Old Mimi, her older brothers--Mathew and Michael. Little Mimi is just stunning, while her brothers were so personable and energetic. I am very excited to share a few photos from this session below...
Mary and I went to grad school together. So, when I got an e-mail from her asking me to photograph her family, I was delighted to hear from her, to see her again, as well as to meet her family and daughter. Katelyn, Mary's daughter, is a gorgeous and sweet 15 month, who right at introduction, greeted me with a gentle hug. She was also delighted to try out and play with all of the holiday props that I had prepared for her session. And I personally just loved her little pony tail! Here is a preview of the photos that we had captured today!
I am ready to share a preview of the P. family session from my recent visit to NYC. The day was gorgeous and sunny, but Fall was definitely making itself known. M. and her brother J. were certainly not fans of the cold (I must admit, I was starting to shiver a bit myself), and only after a few minutes of shooting we decided to continue the session indoors. Here are the photos that we captured....
